Alford and Park Byung-ho Hit Home Runs to Win Against Samsung… KT’s unstoppable multiplier

KT Wiz continued its upward trend without cooling down even in the game played in 4 days.

KT starter Wes Benjamin allowed consecutive infield hits to Hyun-Jun Kim and Seong-Yoon Kim,

when Min-Ho Kang hit an infield grounder,

third base runner Hyun-Jun Kim stepped on the home run and gave up a run.

Shortstop Shin Bon-ki then made an error catching Jose Pirella’s batted ball,

giving up an additional run, making the score tied 3-3.

The game was tense again in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Samsung second baseman Ji-chan Kim missed Hwang Jae-gyun’s batted ball,

leaving the team on first base with no outs, and Alford followed up with a two-run home run to left, taking the lead again.

KT, which had secured the win, brought in Park Young-hyun, a sure-to-win team, in the 8th inning.

When Park Young-hyun allowed a dominant solo home run to Samsung Pirella and was shaken by giving a walk to Oh Jae-il,

KT immediately put in a game-winning move by bringing in closer Kim Jae-yoon.

Kim Jae-yoon caught Ryu Ji-hyuk with a fly ball to shortstop and put out the fire.

Park Byung-ho

KT, having overcome the crisis, put a wedge in the game in the bottom of the 8th inning

when Park Byeong-ho hit a large solo home run with a distance of 125m over the center wall.

Park Byung-ho played an active part on this day with 2 hits in 4 at bats,

including a wedge home run, 1 RBI, and 1 run.

Hwang Jae-gyun went 1 hit in 4 at-bats, 2 RBIs, and 1 run,

becoming the 12th player in history to surpass 1,000 RBI and 1,000 runs in his career.

Benjamin pitched well in 7 innings, allowing 7 hits, no walks, striking out 5, and allowing 3 runs (2 earned runs), earning his 14th win (5 losses) of the season.

Park Young-hyun was shaken by allowing one run in ⅔ innings,
