‘Passionate fighting’ Kim Je-deok “AG is a dream stage… I will shoot without regrets”
National archery team member Kim Je-deok (19, Yecheon County Office), who will participate in the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games held in September,
pledged to continue his ‘passionate fighting’ at the Asian Games as well.
Kim Je-deok
Kim Je-deok met with reporters after completing the official practice
for the 2023 Hyundai Motor Company Chung Mong-koo Korea Archery Competition held at the main stadium of Mokdong Sports Complex in Seoul on the 31st and said,
“It is impossible not to feel tension during the game. 바카라사이트
Now, it seems like it has become a routine to scream and shout to fight to some extent,” he said.
For Kim Je-deok, who experienced the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan two years ago as a second-year high school student, this was his first time attending the Asian Games.
Kim Je-deok said, “I didn’t know much at the time. I think I ran.
“I was just thinking about shooting with confidence,” he said with a smile, and then said, “Now, as I gain more experience, I know what international competitions are like,” and mentioned his changed self.
He continued, “I feel pressured and have a lot to think about, but I want to overcome it and show my best side.
I want to practice a lot, manage my physical strength well,
shoot without regrets in the competition.
I will do my best so that I won’t be disappointed with the result of the match.
“I will do my best,” he pledged.
Korean Archery
Although Korean archery is the ‘world’s best’, it is recently being chased by China and Taiwan.
Regarding this, Kim Je-deok said, “Rather than worrying about athletes from other countries,
I believe in the amount of training our country’s athletes have done,” and added, “Because we prepared hard, we will achieve good results in the Asian Games or any competition.”
Regarding the selection of players for the individual competition, he said, “Anyway, the player who shoots well should play.
“I will accept the result, whether 3rd or 4th,” he said, adding, “We are practicing sufficiently for the combinations that will participate in the team competition according to the number of cases.”
Kim Je-deok said, “The Asian Games are my dream stage.
“I will do my best so that there will be no regrets,” he expressed his determination.
Oh Jin-hyuk
‘Eldest brother’ Oh Jin-hyuk (Hyundai Steel) said, “There are 23 days left until the Asian Games, and the final training is going well.
Competing with good players in domestic competitions before the Asian Games is a good opportunity in itself.”
Oh Jin-hyuk, who applied to be a candidate for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) athlete committee,
but was unable to attend the closed-door interview of the Korea Sports Council Evaluation Committee due to his training schedule in Paris, said, “It is a great honor to have competed in itself,” and “I am not regretful at all.
I was selected as a Korean candidate.
“I would like to congratulate Inbee Park, and I will do my best as a player,” he calmly accepted.
Oh Jin-hyuk expressed regret, saying, “I changed my archery posture and technique due to my bad shoulder, but the details have dropped a lot, so I can’t consistently shoot high scores like before.”
He then added, “Still, I will do my best in the given situation.”
He went on to mention the end of his playing career, saying,
“I can’t give a definite answer about retirement, but I think I can tell you that it will be soon.”
Kim Woo-jin
Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall), who is participating in his fourth Asian Games,
pledged, “My poor condition is getting back on track.
As the Asian Games are just around the corner, I will improve my condition further.”
He said, “If I accept the burden as a burden, it seems to come as more pressure.
I will find a way to utilize the burden.
If I have faith in myself and use it as motivation to train harder, I don’t think it is a bad thing.”
He showed off his appearance as an archery mainstay.
Lee Woo-seok
Lee Woo-seok (Kolon), who is participating in his second Asian Games, is determined to win the gold medal this time.
Woo-seok won two silver medals in the men’s recurve individual event and team event at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games.
Afterwards, the Tokyo Olympics were postponed for a year and he was eliminated from the national team selection competition, which was held again, so he was unable to step on the Olympic stage.
Lee Woo-seok reflected, “I think I was conceited while going through the Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang.
Watching the Tokyo Olympics was difficult at first, but I congratulated the team on their medals.”
With a twinkle in his eye, he said, “Because I trained hard and beat myself up, I will believe in what I have done so far and work with the players to win the gold medal.”
