Professional basketball’s Wonju DB overcame a 19-point deficit to win its sixth straight game to open the season. DB defeated Ulsan Hyundai Mobis 90-79 on the road in the 2023-2024 regular season at Dongcheon Gymnasium in Ulsan on Friday.DB, which was coached by Kim Joo-sung ahead of the season, has won six straight games to open the season and remain in sole possession of first place. DB was led by Lawson, who has emerged as the best foreign player this season, with 36 points and 11 rebounds, while Albano (14 points) and Kim Jong-kyu (13 points) also contributed as the hosts won their fifth straight away game.
Hyundai Mobis was led by Lee Woo-seok (19 points) and Gage Prim (18 points, 11 rebounds), but fell to 4-3 and dropped from sole possession of second place to a tie for third with Changwon LG .Defending champion Anyang Jungkwanjang won 91-80 on the road against Daegu KOGAS .Choi Sung-won, who played for opponent Seoul SK in last season’s championship game before joining Jeonggwanjang for the 2023-2024 season, was the top scorer with 20 points, including four 3-pointers.With three wins and three losses, ChungKwanJang is tied for fifth place with SK.
